π Recurring Searches
Recurring Searches & the Recheck Queue
Recurring Searches make it easy to reprocess selected MVR searches at a scheduled interval without your team having to create a completely new order each time.
How Recurring Searches Work
MVRcheck can configure eligible searches on your account to recur at a specified interval. Once the original MVR is completed, the recurring search is tracked in your Recheck Queue.
When the search reaches its scheduled recurring date, your company decides whether the MVR should be processed again.
1. Access the Recheck Queue
From the client portal, navigate to:
The Recurring tab displays the searches currently being tracked for scheduled reprocessing.
From the queue you can quickly review:
- Applicant name
- Search type
- Company the report is associated with
- Original order date
- Expiration date
- Days until or past the recurring date
- Current status
Understanding the Status
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Active | The search is active in the recurring queue and has not yet reached its scheduled recurring date. |
| Expired | The configured recurring date has been reached. |
| Pending | The recurring search has been reordered. |
| Cancelled | The recurring search has been cancelled and no longer needs to be processed again. |
2. Open the Recurring Search
Click the applicant's name from the Recheck Queue to open the recurring search details.
The details page allows you to review the recurring search before deciding whether to Order, Skip, or Cancel it.
The details page may include:
- Recurring search status
- Date added
- Scheduled expiration date
- Original file number
- Search type
- Applicant information
- Requester information
- Monitoring / recurring history
3. Choose an Action
You can choose one of three primary actions for a recurring search.
Select Order when you want the applicant's MVR processed again.
Selecting Order does not immediately run the MVR. Instead, a secure QuickApp is sent directly to the applicant.
The applicant will enter or confirm their information and electronically sign the required authorization/release. Once the applicant completes and submits the QuickApp, the MVR will automatically process.
Select Skip Recurring if you do not need the MVR during the current cycle but want to keep the recurring schedule active.
Example: If the MVR is configured to recur every 3 months and you do not need to process it this cycle, select Skip. The search will remain recurring and become due again at the next scheduled interval.
Select Cancel Recurring when the applicant should no longer be included in the recurring queue. This is typically used when an employee or driver is no longer associated with your company or the recurring MVR is no longer needed.

When Can I Select Order?
You do not have to wait until the displayed expiration date to order the recurring search. The Order option may be used before or after the expiration date.
Once an order is initiated, the activity is recorded in the Monitoring History.
Monitoring History
The Monitoring History section provides a record of activity associated with the recurring search. Depending on the activity, this may include:
- When the recurring search was originally added
- Expiration activity
- Reorders
- Skipped occurrences
- Cancellations
What Happens if I Don't Take Action?
An expired recurring search remains available in the queue for a limited period so it can still be reordered if necessary.
After approximately 30 days, the item may be removed from the normal queue view and will only appear when specifically searched for.
